New Boston Capital Improvement Program New Boston, TX
The New Boston ISD capital improvement program addresses a variety of needs for this rapidly expanding community. Renovations are planned for the high school stadium and Crestview elementary. The high school will get a cafeteria addition and a new pre-K through 2nd grade building is planned for a space adjacent to the existing elementary campus.
The cafeteria addition will occur on the south side fo the existing high school building. In addition to adding much needed space to the dining area, this new construction will also enhance the front elevation of the high school.
At the elementary campus, a new 75,000 s.f. primary school building is planned. It will be built on the southeastern corner of the site. Here, construction can take place without the demolition of existing buildings. The design orients the group activity spaces and administration along the western edge of the site near the existing parent pick-up. Classroom wings will extend away from these group spaces on perpendicular axes.
Once the new school is completed, Crestview Elementary will be renovated to update the facilities and house grades 3 through 5. This will allow students to move out of the other, older buildings on campus and into the new facilities. These older buildings will then be demolished.
